Job Board Direct are currently working on a recruitment campaign with HGL Dynamics who are advertising for a new Electronics Technician – Trainee in Godalming and a Production & Test Engineer – Trainee in Lincoln

Hire of test support personnel, data acquisition and storage equipment to the United States Air Force for research test programmes requiring real-time monitoring of data acquisition.
Sales and hire of data logging and analysis equipment for a range of offshore applications for vibration analysis and reporting.
Sales of data logging equipment for the development of gas turbine engines in the civil market.

HGL Dynamics Ltd is seeking a Trainee Production & Test Engineer to join the Electronics and Production team in a high-growth and rewarding company with a friendly and inclusive environment.

£21,500 dependent upon experience
Ideal candidates will be able to demonstrate:

An interest in working towards a recognised engineering qualification (funded by the company with day release)
Excellent interpersonal skills including communication, presentation and motivation
A proactive approach to tasks and reporting
Ambition, critical thinking / reasoning skills and an enthusiasm to learn and progress

The following areas would be desirable but are not essential:

Familiar with hardware debugging
Experience with understanding electronics schematics
Familiarity with aspects of the project life cycle from design to production

Trainee Production & Test Engineer – Primary responsibilities will include:

Electronics test and fault finding
Building and testing hardware units
Reducing scrap and rework
Writing Build Guides, Test Documentation and Product User Guides; keeping existing documents and software records up to date

Trainee Production & Test Engineer – Secondary responsibilities may include:

Helping to improve testing techniques.
Providing quality engineering support
Electronics assembly
Leading and/or supporting Cost Reduction exercises

The Trainee Production & Test Engineer must hold existing rights to reside and work in the UK

A full, clean UK driving license is desirable but not essential

HGL Dynamics Ltd is seeking a Trainee Electronics Technician to join the team in a high-growth and rewarding company with a friendly and inclusive environment.

The ideal Trainee Electronics Technician will be able to demonstrate:

GCSE C (or equivalent) or above in:
Mathematics
English
Science (Double or Triple)
Strong communication skills
A proactive approach to tasks and reporting
Ambition, critical thinking / reasoning skills and an enthusiasm to learn and progress

The following areas would be desirable but are not essential:

BTEC/HNC/HND in electronics
Basic understanding of analogue/digital electronics
Familiar with hardware debugging

Trainee Electronics Technician – primary responsibilities will include:

Diagnosing faults on boards and working through schematics to rectify them
Diagnosing faults on hardware units and fixing them
Building and testing hardware units
Writing Build Guides, Test Documentation and Product User Guides; keeping existing documents up to date
Handling the Good In / Goods Out system
Stock Control
Communication/Negotiation with suppliers

Trainee Electronics Technician – Secondary responsibilities may include:

Helping to improve testing techniques.

Candidates must hold existing rights to reside and work in the UK
