MEI is currently looking for a new Electrical Project Engineer to join our Glasgow based team.
We have 23 years of experience delivering tailored installations and repair works to our local and global customers.
With our Global reach we have delivered projects all over the world from cruise ships to offshore oil rigs and tankers.
We are currently looking to expand our engineering team to help with our growing project demand.
Electrical Project Engineer – Main responsibilities:
Conducting detailed vessel surveys, take precise measurements, capture photos, engage in discussion and use technical proficiency to evaluate the works required.
Have a good understanding of electrical installation standards and testing.
Undertake complex technical and logical issues, fault finding and conducting design reviews.
Prepare detailed project plans, delivering detailed designs packages, work packs, electrical schematics/documents, Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
Good communication with clients, vendors and partners.
Project management of a full project lifecycle.
Assist with creating CAD drawings and prepare electrical designs.
Utilisation and management of MEI Electricians to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Assisting MD and Project Director with projects, delivering construction methodology and project lifecycle.
Technical support for clients and electricians whether thats remote or onsite.
To comply with Health and Safety and Quality procedures.
Electrical Project Engineer – About you:
To be consider for this role you will have 3 years minimum of previous experience within an Industrial or Marine Electrical Engineering role.
Demonstrate excellent knowledge of Electrical Systems.
HND in Electrical Engineering or equivalent would be desired.
Have great interpersonal skills, being able to interact with customers and building relationships.
Ability to work under pressure, managing multiple projects at once and prioritising efficiently.
Ability to travel nationally or internationally at short notice.
Be an excellent team player.
Be good at problem-solving, decision-making and critical thinking.
Be fluent in written and spoken English.

MEI is currently looking for a new Stock Controller to join our Glasgow based team.
We have 23 years of experience delivering tailored installations and repair works to our local and global customers.
In more recent years we have expanded to material sales delivering a full range of products to our client base.
With our products ranging from cable ties to alternators no day in office is the same and we require a helping hand to assist us with the growing material demand.
Stock Controller – About the role
Assist with stock keeping, ensure that our shelves are always stocked with required products.
Work with sales manager to collect, pack and dispatch orders on time.
Take delivery of materials and organise for reshipping or stock taking for upcoming projects.
Maintain a tidy and organised environment within the store.
Ensuring all stock is booked in/out.
Assist with recoding stock, creating purchase orders and creating delivery notes.
Maintain a stock system, ensure all stock is clearly labelled and assigned to projects if required.
Answer incoming calls and maintain a register of all staff in the building.
Stock Controller – About you
Be computer literate.
Have previous experience with working in a warehouse setting.
Previous experience with Sage would be desirable.
Be able to move materials manually when required.
Be clean and organised.
Have a clean driving licence.

Work closely with the directors and engineering team to design, prepare and manage upcoming projects.
Prepare project documentation, Risk Assessments, Health & Safety and Quality procedures.
Communicate with clients, prepare quotations and order materials as when required.
Assist with creating CAD drawings and prepare electrical designs.
Liaise with electricians to ensure projects are well understood and underway.
Conduct site surveys and assist with onsite work.
Graduate Electrical Project Engineer – About you:
To be consider for this role you will have completed an Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent.
Demonstrate knowledge of Electrical systems and interest in the marine sector.
Have great interpersonal skills, being able to interact with customers and staff.
