We are launching a unique new events and wedding venue within a magnificent Grade II listed historic house set in 12 acres of grounds* on the North Derbyshire/South Yorkshire border.
This is a rare opportunity to join the team at the beginning of an exciting new venture and help shape everything from the guest experience and events programme to the day-to-day operation and future development of the estate.

The venue will host weddings, private celebrations, corporate events and functions, alongside 8 guest bedrooms and an evolving programme of improvements to the grounds and facilities.
We are looking for a dynamic, hands-on Operations & Events Manager who can combine excellent operational management with a passion for creating memorable events.

Operations & Events Manager - The Role

You will take a leading role in establishing and running the venue, ensuring the estate operates smoothly while delivering exceptional events and guest experiences.

Operations & Events Manager - You'll be responsible for:

Overseeing the day-to-day operation of the estate and venue
Planning and delivering weddings, private functions, corporate events and celebrations
Taking events from initial concept and planning through to delivery
Managing the complete guest journey, from enquiry and booking through to departure
Leading, motivating and developing the venue team
Managing staffing, rotas, event planning and operational resources
Coordinating suppliers, contractors, caterers and external partners
Overseeing event setup, service and breakdown
Acting as the key point of contact for clients and guests
Maintaining consistently high standards of service, presentation and hospitality
Recruiting, training and developing the team as the business grows
Managing guest feedback and resolving issues confidently and professionally
Supporting budgets, forecasting, cost control and commercial performance
Developing new ideas and opportunities to grow the events business
Working with external designers and contractors on the development of the gardens and grounds
Working closely with senior management to shape the future direction of the estate

Salary: £35,000£45,000 depending on experience
