Marketing Assistant

Roxhill’s media database platform is the next-generation of media intelligence. It is sold to Company communication teams and PR or media agencies across the globe, who use it to facilitate effective communication with the journalist communities.

Roxhill was created just over five years ago by the PR and media database veteran Alex Northcott. Alex spent the early part of his career working as the PR Director at Morgan Stanley, however he is best known as the founder and CEO of the original digital media database, Gorkana from 2003-2011. After he sold Gorkana, he spent a few years in charitable work for Help for Heroes.

He then decided it was time to return to the PR world. Fusing together a clever combination of tech and Media data, Alex launched Roxhill in 2015.

The Role:

This role is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious person who enjoys developing and executing creative marketing campaigns.

You will work with the marketing team to develop, plan, and execute promotional campaigns for both the UK & USA markets.

You will ensure marketing campaigns target the right audience and convey a consistent brand message across all marketing touchpoints.

The background

Roxhill is a media database, launched in 2013 with a vision to disrupt the Public Relations communications sector. Over 8 years we have built a real-time, data-led media intelligence platform. This gives PR and media professionals the tools and insight to understand where in the media industry, their brands or products are being discussed and to engage and develop mutually beneficial relationships with key figures.

What’s next?

Roxhill now has over 1,400 Blue chip and corporate clients within the PR industry, generating an annual turnover in excess of £6m. It has grown to 50 staff based in a WeWork (Bank) office in London, and with this rapid growth comes the need to scale up our financial operations. In addition to this role the team consists of the Financial Controller and Credit Controller.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a Bookkeeper to join our small in-house finance team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous experience of ownership of a sales ledger looking to use their knowledge and experience in a growing business.

You will be supported by our Credit Controller and Finance Controller. You and the Credit Controller will be the point of contact for all sales ledger queries from internal & external stakeholders.

Working with the sales and client management teams, you will ensure clients are invoiced in a timely manner and outstanding debts collected.

You will also take ownership of the purchase ledger ensuring all invoices are on Xero in a timely fashion.

You will gradually become familiar with the whole finance process within the company, thereby this role gives great exposure up to and including trial balance.

You will also have the opportunity to develop, implement & update processes alongside the Finance Controller
